"I only went out for a walk, and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in."
— John Muir

My first ever published book! The front cover is from an awesome hike my wife, our pooch, and I found when we were camping in Vermont one summer. That vista was called, "Moot Point" and it was anything but moot! It was written in 2020 (what an insane time) and released at the beginning of 2021. It is a life's work project and an honor to share with all of those who taught me.
“Once upon a time, I dreamt I was a butterfly, fluttering hither and thither, to all intents and purposes a butterfly. I was conscious only of my happiness as a butterfly, unaware that I was myself. Soon I awaked, and there I was, veritably myself again. Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly, dreaming I am a man.”

"In the ultimate stillness
Light penetrates the whole realm;
In the still illumination,
There pervades pure emptiness.
When I look back on the
Phenomenal world,
Everything is just
Like a dream."

A couple of pictures from the 2014 Center for Contemplative Mind In Society's Summer Conference for Educators in Higher Education...
*I recently attended the 2014 Center for Contemplative Mind In Society's Summer Conference for Educators in Higher Education and had the opportunity to spend time with some amazing human beings. Everyone at the conference brought wonderful teachings, learnings, and sharing in the name of lending to the cultivation of learning in higher education. I will always be grateful for the opportunity to have met everyone in attendance and thankful to RAUL at MSU for providing me the opportunity to attend. This is Mirabai Bush and I.
*A statue I found hiking around a trail at Smith College while on a break during the conference. There was a trail on campus that wrapped around a lake and dipped into the woods and I and some fellow colleagues had a great time exploring all of the different natural and human created scenes therein...

Peace will come to the hearts of men when they realize their oneness with the universe, It is every where."

"There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.
There is another theory which states that this has already happened."
— Douglas Adams (The Restaurant at the End of the Universe (Hitchhiker's Guide, #2))
